Google is beginning to make available integrations of Gemini, its latest generative AI model. Among the first to be available is the integration with Google Ads, the tool for scheduling and managing advertising campaigns on the Google search network.
Starting today, January 24, the multinational corporation has initiated the rollout phase, initially targeting users in the USA and the UK, with plans to expand to other countries in the coming weeks, albeit initially only in English.
Google Ads AI? It does it all!
The AI’s operation is extremely simple: just enter the URL of the site to be advertised, and Gemini will generate a series of relevant ads. It will suggest titles, descriptions, images to include, suitable links, and even the most effective keywords. Users will then have the opportunity to customize this information according to their preferences and needs before launching the sponsorship campaign.

How effective are these ads? To measure this, Google relies on Ad Strength, an indicator that evaluates the quality of the ad (from «poor» to «excellent») based on the quality of the images, text, and relevance of the ad itself. According to Google, small business advertisers using conversational experiences in Google Ads are 42% more likely to run campaigns on the search network with a «Good» or «Excellent» Ad Strength. «This is significant because we have found a strong correlation between Ad Strength and conversions,» as explained on the blog of the tech giant. «For example, advertisers who improve their Ad Strength from «Poor» to «Excellent» for adaptable search network ads see an average 12% increase in conversions«.
