Arrowhead Games Studio has released patch 1.000.302 of Helldivers 2, aiming to modify the balance and address various issues.
Among these is the issue related to DoT (Damage over Time), which is the damage over time caused, for example, by flames. As repeatedly reported by players, due to a bug, DoT in many cases was only registered for the user hosting the game, reducing their effectiveness.
Furthermore, a problem was corrected where players armed with the Plasma Punisher and shield backpack would self-inflict damage, one causing misalignment of the sights of some weapons using the first-person aiming mode, and a bug related to the Main Orders counter that requires killing a certain number of enemies, which counted many more kills (up to four times as much) than normal, confirming the community’s suspicions about the unusual record of 2 billion Terminids killed in less than 24 hours last month.
Changes to weapon and enemy balance
Regarding the balance changes, the explosion damage of the R-36 Eruptor has been increased and the shards derived from the explosion have been removed. The goal of this modification, according to the developers, is to prevent players from killing themselves and their teammates with a single shot due to the wide radius in which the aforementioned shards were thrown.
Changes have also been made to a couple of enemies. In particular, the Terminid Howlers now have slightly better vision and hearing, which means they can more easily detect Helldivers. A similar situation for the Automaton ships, whose hearing range has been increased.
For all the other numerous changes, which also include a large number of minor issues, we refer you to the official notes of the Helldivers 2 update 1.000.302 at this address.
