Axitea has revolutionized its service for the physical security of companies by introducing a new video patrol service that leverages artificial intelligence. To ensure greater security, its systems will connect to each individual customer’s surveillance camera, analyzing the streams through machine learning tools to search for anomalies and, if necessary, send a patrol to personally verify what is happening.
AI in surveillance: Axitea’s video patrol service
It’s no news that Axitea has been experimenting with technology to enhance and streamline its surveillance centers for some time now: last October, we had the opportunity to visit the company’s SoCs, both those dedicated to the security of things and people, and those dedicated to cyber protection. The former, in particular, impressed us with their high technological content: the company’s intelligent software was able to automatically detect potential intrusions or other types of issues (such as a fire), drawing the attention of the company’s specialists who, after a remote verification, assessed whether to send a private patrol or alert the authorities.

Now, Axitea has taken a further step forward by introducing a video patrol service that harnesses artificial intelligence. A very simple service in its operation: during the night, at completely random intervals, Axitea’s systems connect to customers’ surveillance cameras to verify, through AI algorithms, the presence of any anomalies. If something strange is highlighted, a notice is sent to the Security Operation Center staff, who will analyze the situation and decide whether to send a patrol.
The advantage? Increased service efficiency, but also a reduction in CO2 emissions, due to the lower number of physical patrol checks, which will be sent to customer companies only when a personal verification is truly necessary.
An interesting aspect of the service is that customers will not need to upgrade the camera system they already have: Axitea’s solution does not require specific hardware to be installed at customers’ premises. A common CCTV system will be sufficient.
“The video patrol service with Artificial Intelligence represents a real revolution in the security market”, comments Marco Bavazzano, CEO of Axitea. “This service is the result of our great commitment to research and development of innovative and sustainable solutions. It is a service that transforms the present and opens up new possibilities for the future of the company and also for our customers, as they will have a much more effective protection system than traditional ones at very competitive costs”.
